The developers have also issued two significant updates along with free additional content.
Awaken Realms has announced the Sanctuary of Sarras expansion for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. Its release is scheduled for December 15.
The expansion introduces a new 10–15 hour narrative focused on the fate of the Nimue insurgents and their conflict with King Arthur and Merlin. Players will delve into the submerged Sanctuary of Sarras, exploring ancient constructions, more than 20 new dungeons, four bosses, and 12 distinct varieties of common enemies. The pack adds over 100 new equipment items and an alternative progression system featuring three separate skill branches that can be advanced concurrently and swapped at any time.
Access to the Sanctuary of Sarras becomes available after clearing the Cuanacht region (the second act of the main game); completing the main campaign is not required.
Coinciding with the announcement, update 1.15 for the base game was released. The headline change is performance optimization: Xbox saw gains exceeding 20 frames per second, low-end PCs and the Steam Deck gained around 2–3 fps, and PlayStation 5 received modest stability improvements. The team is still addressing PS5 crash issues; a dedicated fix patch will be released alongside Sanctuary of Sarras.
All owners of the base game also received free bonus content: five new armor sets unlocked via specific achievements, plus alternate skins for the companion Korko, King Arthur, and Caradoc.
