Stellar Blade 2 to Become a Multiplatform AAA Game — Development Underway
Shift Up has launched a broad hiring drive. The studio confirmed that development on Stellar Blade 2 is already underway.
The original title debuted in 2024 to strong praise from critics and players alike, becoming a significant commercial success for the South Korean studio. The team is now aggressively recruiting — more than ten open positions are listed publicly.
Shift Up’s official site describes the upcoming game as a multi-platform AAA release for consoles and PC. The follow-up will preserve the original’s stylish combat and narrative focus while expanding and refining those elements across the board. The studio refers to the project as the “next installment” rather than a direct sequel.
For now, specifics are scarce. The original Stellar Blade required five years of development, so this new project is unlikely to arrive for several years.
