Extended gameplay trailer for Wild Blue Skies.

Formerly known simply as Wild Blue, the Star Fox–inspired shooter has been rebranded as Wild Blue Skies and now features an extended gameplay trailer that runs for more than four minutes.

First unveiled in March, the project benefits from authentic lineage: Giles Goddard, a veteran Nintendo programmer who contributed to the original Star Fox, heads up development at Kyoto-based Chuhai Labs. The new footage—shared by IGN—offers an uncut sequence of aerial combat threading through ancient, storm-lashed ruins.

Players assume the role of ace pilot Bowie Stray, leading a ragtag squad against the oppressive forces of the villainous Grimclaw. Between fast-paced dogfights and the banter of anthropomorphic crewmates, the trailer captures the nostalgic pulse of classic rail shooters while leaning into a modern presentation.

At present, Wild Blue Skies is confirmed only for PC and does not have an announced release window.
