Star Citizen’s Budget Nears $1 Billion — Developers Invite Players to Play for Free and Test Ships
Players will receive temporary access to select spacecraft models.
In November, Cloud Imperium Games announced the launch of the “Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2955.” To celebrate, the Star Citizen team has opened a limited-time free access event for the project.
Participants are invited to try “some of Star Citizen’s most iconic ships” at no cost — for example, access to the MISC Starlancer TAC has been enabled:
The Star Citizen developers have published the schedule, and the list of available ships will be updated progressively. The free-fly event runs through December 3, 2025.
