Splitgate 2 Developers Prepare Major Update by End of December

Studio 1047 Games announced that Splitgate 2’s beta will conclude on December 4, 2025. In a Steam post, the developer confirmed the game will be relaunched later in December.

Ending the beta also brings the current season and active Battle Passes to a close. Players will lose their season rank progress.

Specifics about the relaunch have not been revealed yet, but 1047 Games said it will incorporate player feedback following the shooter’s rework announcement in July. The studio added that the existing build will remain available — including the planned “Chapter 3” update — while the new version is targeted for release in 2026.

1047 Games CEO Ian Proulx said:

It still reads like a beta — there are bugs and some features are missing. Not every title needs every feature, but there are certain fundamentals a finished product should include.

I don’t yet know precisely what the final form will be. We’ve already implemented many round-based modes and plan to keep them, and players mainly want to jump in, shoot, have fun, and pursue objectives.

Splitgate 2 originally launched on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The relaunch will arrive on the same platforms.
