Space Marine 2 Publisher Files Police Reports Over Threats to Employees
Focus Entertainment, the publisher behind Space Marine 2 and the A Plague Tale series, has filed official reports after threats directed at its staff escalated into a more serious form.
On September 15, 2026, the company published a statement on social media and Discord servers to remind players of its behavioral guidelines. Focus emphasized that its spaces must remain places of respectful communication with users, moderators, developers, and employees.
According to the company, toxic messages directed at its teams had occurred previously, but this time the threats directly affected employees. As a result, Focus decided to take legal action.
The publisher stated that communities should unite players through a shared love of games rather than hatred. The company will not tolerate threats, calls to violence, or sexist comments, and reserves the right to take necessary legal measures to protect its staff.
Focus Entertainment did not disclose the specific catalyst for the latest wave of threats, how many people were affected by the measures taken, or the exact nature of the reports filed.
