Sony has announced two new gaming headsets, the PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset and the more advanced PlayStation Pulse Edge Wireless Headset, which will release in late 2026 and early 2027, respectively.

Sony has unveiled the two gaming headset models. Both build upon the ideas of the Pulse Elite and feature larger planar magnetic drivers. Sony promises deeper bass, high detail, and precise audio positioning, which should help players pinpoint the location of footsteps and other sounds.

The PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge support PlayStation Link with lossless, low-latency audio transmission. The headsets can be used with the PS5, PlayStation Portal, PC, and Mac, as well as connected via Bluetooth. Both models feature AI-powered noise-rejecting microphones.

The Pulse Edge features larger drivers with eight magnets instead of four, active noise cancellation, a detachable microphone, PS5 game and chat audio balance controls, an audio jack, and a carrying case. Even without the main microphone attached, a built-in hidden microphone remains operational.

Both headsets will be available in White and Midnight Black. The Pulse will launch in select markets in late 2026, while the Pulse Edge will arrive in early 2027. Sony has not yet disclosed pricing or exact release dates.
