Sony and Polyphony Digital Hiring for Gran Turismo Project Hints at Gran Turismo 8
Polyphony Digital has opened a large-scale recruitment drive for developers, ranging from car physics programmers to UI designers.
Gran Turismo 8 has not been officially announced, although new job listings from Polyphony Digital hint that the studio is already working on the next installment of the racing series.
The developers are currently looking for engine programmers, graphics, AI, audio, car simulation, and network infrastructure specialists, as well as UI designers and technical artists.

The car simulation programmer position is of particular interest. The specialist will be tasked with developing the car simulation system and reproducing the unique characteristics of various models, which is a key element of Gran Turismo, known for its realistic car physics.
The project name is not specified in the job listings, but fans believe it refers to Gran Turismo 8. Gran Turismo 7 continues to receive updates, and development on a new mainline entry could take several years.
Polyphony Digital has not yet disclosed any details.
