Sega Announces Return of Crazy Taxi Franchise with New Game
Sega is bringing back Crazy Taxi with Crazy Taxi: World Tour, a new arcade installment featuring five cities, wild missions, and a familiar stunt system scheduled for release in 2027.
Axel returns in the upcoming Crazy Taxi: World Tour to transport clients across five international cities. A presentation at gamescom 2026 showcased a city inspired by a German metropolis featuring an airport, mountain routes, and a sprawling street network.
Gameplay foundations remain faithful to the original, as Crazy Dash, Crazy Stop, and Crazy Drift let players chain stylish maneuvers into long combos to earn more money. The biggest surprise is the inclusion of side missions, such as chasing down a departing airplane or delivering a pizza.
The 30-minute presentation highlighted only a portion of the single-player game, while multiplayer details remain largely under wraps. Crazy Taxi: World Tour will release on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
