The sequel arrives on home screens seven months after its theatrical premiere in Japan.

Netflix released the official trailer for the anime film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe and announced its digital premiere date. The second installment in the planned trilogy will become available on the streaming service on August 31, 2026, exactly seven months after its Japanese theatrical release.

The story takes place in Universal Century 105, 12 years after Char’s rebellion. Hathaway Noah, the son of One Year War veteran Bright Noah, secretly leads the anti-government organization Mafty. Its members oppose the Earth Federation and assassinate high-ranking officials.

In the new chapter, Hathaway prepares an aerial attack on a government conference in Adelaide. At the same time, Federation officer Kenneth Sleg develops an operation to protect the event and destroy Mafty. The mysterious Gigi Andalucia re-enters the conflict, and her unusual abilities awaken painful memories in the protagonist.

Shukou Murase directed the sequel, having directed the first film as well as Ergo Proxy and Genocidal Organ. Yasuyuki Muto wrote the screenplay, and Hiroyuki Sawano composed the music. Studio Sunrise handles the production.

Kensho Ono, Reina Ueda, and Junichi Suwabe return to their roles as Hathaway Noah, Gigi Andalucia, and Kenneth Sleg. Soma Saito voices Reyna Image again.

The release date for the final installment of the trilogy has not yet been announced.
