Sebastian Stan Compares The Batman Part II to The Godfather Part II
Filming for the sequel to The Batman starring Robert Pattinson is currently underway.
In an interview with Variety, Sebastian Stan compared Matt Reeves’s The Batman Part II to Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather Part II:
“Sometimes I come to set, look around, and think: ‘I think we’re shooting a fucking Godfather Part II.’ I don’t want to raise expectations, but I feel like the result will justify them.”
The actor did not clarify whether the comparison refers to plot parallels, atmospheric similarities, or something else entirely. At the same time, Stan appears to have no doubts about the film.
Sebastian Stan’s specific role has not yet been officially revealed. He has previously been rumored for various characters ranging from Harvey Dent to Victor Zsasz, though neither Warner Bros. nor director Matt Reeves have commented on these rumors.
Filming for The Batman Part II is currently taking place in the United Kingdom. Robert Pattinson returns as Bruce Wayne, and the cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch. The film is scheduled for release on February 18, 2028.
