Publisher Playdigious is bringing the strategy game Sad Socket, which holds 91 percent positive reviews on Steam, to mobile devices.

Playdigious has released a trailer for the mobile version of the strategy game 9 Kings from studio Sad Socket and announced that the game will launch on Android and iOS in the fourth quarter of 2026. Pre-registration is already open on Google Play, and pre-orders are available on the App Store.

9 Kings combines kingdom building, deck building, roguelike elements, and auto-battler mechanics. Players choose one of nine rulers, each offering a distinct playstyle. Some kings accumulate gold and hire thousands of mercenaries, while others command the forces of nature, distort time, wield dark magic, or summon imp armies.

Kingdom development unfolds through cards. Users place buildings and defense towers, recruit troops, and combine spell effects. After defeating opponents, players can claim their unique cards and add them to their decks to build increasingly powerful combinations.

Specifically for mobile devices, the developers are redesigning the interface and adding full touch controls. The Android version will feature Google Play Games achievements and cloud saves, along with shared progress with the PC edition launched through the same service. Transferring saves from Steam has not been announced.

At launch, 9 Kings will be free to try, but access to all kings, quests, multiplayer, and other features will require purchasing the full version for $8,99.
