Reports: Alan Ritchson May Replace Jason Momoa in Helldivers Adaptation

Alan Ritchson is in talks to star in the upcoming Helldivers movie adaptation.

According to Deadline, the Reacher star would play one of the Helldivers defending Super Earth from alien threats and spreading democracy if a deal is finalized. The movie based on the cooperative shooter is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 10, 2027.

Jason Momoa was previously slated to take the lead role, but the actor left the project in June 2026. The reasons for his departure remain unknown.

PlayStation Productions and Justin Lin’s company, Perfect Storm Entertainment, are producing the film. Hutch Parker and Asad Qizilbash serve as producers.
