Remedy Files Trademark for “Control: Resonant” — New Game or Series?
Remedy Entertainment may be getting ready to announce a new project. A trademark for “Control: Resonant” has been registered in the European database.
The application covers categories from video games and marketing products to television and film production. The owner is listed as confidential, but the filing was submitted by Nordia Attorneys at Law — the same legal firm that manages Remedy’s brands.
The studio is known to be working on Control 2 and remakes of Max Payne, both reported to be in early development. It’s sensible to infer that Control: Resonant could be connected to Control 2. A reveal at The Game Awards would be fitting: the game isn’t expected to launch until 2027, so now would be a natural time for a teaser.
It’s also possible the filing relates to live-action or animated adaptations of Control and Alan Wake, projects Remedy is developing alongside Annapurna Interactive. The Game Awards could provide an ideal stage to announce such multimedia endeavors.
