Release of the “Russian Gothic” on Steam Falls Through — Of Ash and Steel Developers Reveal Problems and Launch Delay
The launch of the new RPG did not go as planned.
The role-playing game Of Ash and Steel was scheduled to release this evening, but something went wrong during the rollout.
Developers at Fire & Frost reached out to the community to announce a short delay:
Owing to technical difficulties, our team must postpone the release by a few hours. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. New tentative launch time: 22:00 MSK. The date remains November 24.
Of Ash and Steel is a third-person RPG that echoes classic titles like Gothic:
The game offers a demanding yet approachable combat system. You won’t be a legendary bounty hunter or monster slayer from the outset. Instead, you’ll need to master the mechanics: manage stamina, time your attacks and parries, and choose the stance and weapon type that suit your playstyle. It takes practice and patience, but the more you play, the more adept you become — and Tristan grows with you.
