Red Dead Redemption 2 Modder Overhauls Van Horn with New Content and Merchants
Modder BigiApra has overhauled the small port settlement of Van Horn in Red Dead Redemption 2, expanding the location with new landmarks, merchants, and interactive non-player characters.
The project, created with contributions from several community members, rebuilds two previously ruined docks and turns them into a fully functioning harbor. According to the modder, “There are now new ships, drivable boats, dockworkers, fishermen, and a market stall.”
A ship graveyard was added to the northern outskirts of town, and the local train station was updated to look less deserted. As BigiApra explained, “new NPCs have appeared here, and boarded-up windows have been removed thanks to Snarra2256.” The modification also introduces a church and a cemetery.
Additionally, the release restores a cut trading feature. “One of the cut features of Van Horn was a wagon fence. Thanks to Kristiand3 and 1Vex16, we added a completely new NPC,” BigiApra stated. Players visiting the revamped docks will also find a new general trader alongside a boat fence.

The Van Horn Expansion mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 is available as a free download on Nexus Mods.
