Public Voting Open for The Steam Awards 2025 — Players Can Choose the Best PC Games of the Year

The event features 11 distinct categories.

Steam has opened public voting for The Steam Awards 2025. Players can cast their votes for their favourite games across 11 categories until December 1.

Categories:

• Game of the Year
• VR Game of the Year
• Fan Favorite
• Best Game on Steam Deck
• Better With Friends
• Outstanding Visual Style
• Most Innovative Gameplay
• The Game You Can’t Quite Master
• Best Soundtrack
• Best Game with an Outstanding Story
• Sit Back and Relax

Except for Fan Favorite, only games released on Steam after last year’s Autumn Sale are eligible for nomination.

Finalists will be revealed on December 18, during Steam’s annual Winter Sale, and the winners will be announced on January 3, 2026 at 21:00 Moscow time.

Simultaneously, Valve has kicked off a Black Friday sale featuring steep discounts on thousands of titles, many of them relatively recent releases. The promotion runs through December 1.
