Played Minecraft at 0.5 FPS — used a receipt printer instead of a monitor to render the gameplay

Playing in this mode makes it extremely difficult to follow what’s happening.

YouTuber smilly demonstrated an unconventional way to play Minecraft. Rather than using a monitor, he employed a different device that delivers a very low frame rate.

The game’s visuals are produced by a receipt printer: instead of a standard receipt the device prints a “gameplay frame.” With this setup, smilly played the blocky sandbox at roughly 0.5 frames per second.

With such severe limitations, playing Minecraft becomes impractical — smilly had major difficulty organizing his inventory, and reacting appropriately to threats with that level of delay was almost impossible.
