Path of Exile 2 director: likely won’t leave early access in March 2026, can’t promise it won’t slip into 2027

Rogers is reluctant to lock the team into a specific deadline while development remains fluid. For now the objective is still to launch sometime in 2026. “I don’t have a specific timeline but I certainly wouldn’t want to be any later than the end of next year,” he added. “Obviously we’re trying to get there as fast as we can, but I certainly wouldn’t want to slip into 2027.”

Though disappointing to some fans, it’s worth remembering PoE 2 only entered public early access a year ago and continues to receive major updates. The campaign still lacks two acts; once those are added, players will get the post-story content and whatever additional features Grinding Gear Games chooses to include.

There are many moving parts, and Rogers seems to be balancing optimism with realism. Whatever the final release date, players should expect substantial content drops across the coming months.
