Capcom has announced a dedicated showcase for its flagship creature‑hunting series, spotlighting a substantial update for Monster Hunter Wilds due later this month and the next entry in its turn‑based spin‑off, Monster Hunter Stories 3. A franchise of this scale clearly warrants its own presentation.

The Monster Hunter Showcase is scheduled for Monday, December 8, at 2:00 p.m. PT (10:00 p.m. GMT) on YouTube. Capcom says it will reveal “all the info on Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 4,” arriving December 16, and share further details about Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, which is slated to release on March 13, 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PS5.

That said, don’t expect announcements of paid expansions or large-scale new features for Wilds during the showcase — Capcom has stated the event will concentrate exclusively on the upcoming free update.

Regarding Monster Hunter Stories 3, the game preserves the upbeat charm of the 3DS spin‑offs but appears to veer into darker narrative terrain, focusing on conflict between rival kingdoms. Capcom has indicated this represents a significant return to JRPG development.

After Monster Hunter Wilds’ year of performance issues, Capcom says it does not expect Resident Evil Requiem to face the same problems: “At present, we do not anticipate similar risks.”
