Paradox Bombarded with “Clown Medals” on Steam — Hearts of Iron 4 Fans Unhappy with New Edition
Earlier purchasers of the DLC are upset with the publisher’s decision.
The developers of the grand strategy game Hearts of Iron IV recently announced a new “General Edition.”
The package includes the DLCs Battle for the Bosporus and La Résistance, while the base version of HoI4 has been updated to include Together for Victory, Waking the Tiger, and Death or Dishonor.
Man the Guns will also be integrated into the HoI4 General Edition soon — a premium expansion that was recently made free.
Man the Guns was released in 2019. Players who bought it earlier are dissatisfied with how Paradox Interactive later changed its distribution model.
They express their discontent not only through comments but also by awarding the announcement a “clown medal” (the badge is officially called “Jester”, but it is commonly used as an insult in the Steam community):
“In a past life, these developers were dairy farmers.”
