During the One Piece Day ’26 festivities, franchise producers announced two upcoming movies: One Piece Film God Valley and One Piece Film Baad. Both animated features are scheduled to reach theaters before the end of the decade.

One Piece Film God Valley arrives first in Japanese theaters in summer 2027. The prequel adapts the manga storyline detailing the God Valley incident. The storyline aligns with the Elbaph arc that the anime is currently covering. The summer 2027 launch also aligns with the 30th anniversary of the One Piece manga, which first appeared in print on July 22, 1997.

One Piece Film Baad will follow in 2029 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the One Piece television anime, which debuted on Oct. 20, 1999. Story details for Baad remain under wraps.

During the same weekend, the live-action Netflix show announced four additions to the season 3 cast: Emilio Sakraya as Koza, Jamie Ward as Pell, Nabeel Khan as Chaka, and Omid Abtahi as Toto.
