One of 12 Sekiro-Themed Xbox One X Consoles Listed on eBay for $12,000
An ultra-rare custom Xbox One X console created for the launch of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has surfaced on eBay with an asking price of nearly $12,000.
In 2019, Xbox commissioned UK-based agency Takeoff Studios to produce just 12 custom units to celebrate the game’s release. Activision used some of the consoles at promotional events, while others were distributed through contests and giveaways, making them exceptionally scarce on the secondary market.
An eBay seller under the handle neoframe listed one of these units for $11,999. The listing has attracted thousands of views, with 12 users currently watching the item.
“According to the marketing agency that created them, only 12 were made,” the seller wrote. According to the listing description, the console has never been played and powers on directly to the initial setup screen.
Despite remaining unused, the system shows cosmetic wear from storage. The finish has rubbed off on four sword mounts, the controller has two scratches, and the sword hilt was previously repaired with hot glue. The seller is open to offers, though it remains to be seen whether a buyer will pay the asking price.
