NVIDIA’s new driver addresses the performance drop caused by October’s Windows 11 update.
NVIDIA has released GeForce Hotfix 581.94 — an emergency driver update aimed at fixing the performance regressions introduced by the October Windows 11 update KB5066835.
The hotfix is based on the latest Game Ready 581.80 release but includes a single targeted fix that resolves issues which appeared after installing the operating system update.
NVIDIA notes that hotfix drivers undergo a shortened testing cycle to expedite their release and are provided “as is.” Installation is optional; users not affected by the issue are advised to wait for the next WHQL‑certified release, where this fix will be incorporated.
You can download the hotfix from NVIDIA’s official support page.
