Nintendo Alters Mario and Series Logo Ahead of Potential Major Announcement
Nintendo has updated Mario’s design and the Super Mario series logo, which may be tied to preparations for the company’s large-scale plans for 2027.
New images related to Super Mario have appeared on Nintendo’s official Japanese website. The company updated the series logo, replacing the vertical word arrangement with a standard horizontal layout, while the letters themselves received a new backlit design.

Nintendo showcased the first four renders of the updated Mario model. They feature additional clothing details, including fabric texture, buttons, badges, and other elements.

At the same time, this is not an announcement for a new game. Nintendo has merely prepared updated assets as part of its plans for 2027.
