Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Gets Naval Battles Expansion — First Reviews of the War Sails DLC Appear
After a series of delays, the expansion has finally reached players.
The creators of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord have recently launched the paid expansion War Sails. It introduces new gameplay systems — players can now take part in naval combat. The update adds 18 distinct ship classes.
For the new combat system, the team implemented a realistic wind-and-water physics model: you can engage enemy vessels from a distance, ram them, or board from multiple approaches.
Naval engagements also affect sieges: armies can now bring fleets to establish a blockade and prevent a besieged city from being resupplied by sea.
