Modders Remake Key Mechanic in The Blood of Dawnwalker

Not everyone was satisfied with the time limit in The Blood of Dawnwalker, but PC players can easily deal with it using mods.

Before release, it was known that The Blood of Dawnwalker would feature a time limit. However, this is not a typical countdown timer to a specific moment. In the game, time functions as a resource. Each day contains a set number of time slots that are spent only when making certain decisions and taking specific actions.

Some players did not appreciate this mechanic. Because The Blood of Dawnwalker launched on PC alongside consoles, the modding community stepped in to address the timer. A simple modification that increased the default limit of 30 days appeared first, followed by a more advanced tool.

A modder named Noviathan gave players the ability to take control of time. Users can now set between 8 and 32 time slots per day, while the total number of days can be extended to 45, 60, 80, 100, or 9999.

Not all players enjoy when others use such mods, prompting Noviathan to ask for respect regarding how people choose to play:

The goal of this mod is simple: to give people the opportunity to enjoy the game at their own pace. Whether you prefer the original time pressure, slightly more relaxed gameplay, or want to get a lot more time, there is no "right" way to play.
