Modder Ports Parasite Eve II to PC After 27 Years With Enhanced Graphics and High-Resolution Support

The graphics of the classic survival horror game have been significantly overhauled.

Modder faligame recently unveiled an unofficial remaster of Parasite Eve II that brings the survival horror classic to modern PCs.

The developer emphasizes that this is not a PlayStation emulator, but a native PC version of the game:

The original PlayStation source code was recompiled into a native Windows executable file, which allows the game to be improved from the inside: sharper 3D, stable geometry, high-resolution pre-rendered backgrounds [1440×1080], and a completely updated set of textures.

Faligame previously published test footage of Parasite Eve 2 HD Remaster on YouTube and compared graphic quality across different scenes:

The modder stated that they reworked textures for characters, enemies, weapons, menus, and the user interface. Text dialogue boxes and location transitions will no longer drop image resolution down to the console’s 320×240.

The project does not have a release date yet. Faligame previously launched a “Parasite-Eve-2-HD-Remaster” page on GitHub to publish media and progress updates on the development:

This repository serves as a public platform for the project: news, screenshots, and work-in-progress information are published here. It does not contain source code, builds, or any game data.
