Minecraft Update Wilderness Bound Adds Sitting and Disposable Beds for Steve

Developers have prepared a new biome, gameplay mechanics, and other content.

In mid-September, the Mojang Studios team finished testing the major Wilderness Bound update for Minecraft. The update has been fully released, and all players on Minecraft Bedrock and Minecraft Java can now check out the new additions.

The Wilderness Bound update adds a new biome called the Dappled forest to Minecraft. In this biome, players can find poplars with multicolored leaves, as well as red bushes and shelf mushrooms. The biome is inhabited by peaceful mobs, and depending on the conditions, players can expect to encounter sheep, chickens, cows, pigs, foxes, and rabbits.

Abandoned camps will now spawn in the Dappled forest, taiga, and other forest biomes, allowing players to find explorer maps that can lead to various interesting locations.

Additionally, players can now craft a straw bed, which is single-use and will break after its first use. This bed is used to skip the night in the Overworld. Another feature of the update is cushions, allowing characters to craft them and then sit down.
