The developers have also prepared more budget-friendly editions.
Recently, the Hytale team secured the rights to the game and intend to continue development.
Hypixel Studios has now unveiled several editions: the base edition is priced at $20 (≈1.6k RUB), with upgraded options—the Supporter Edition for $35 (≈2.7k RUB) and the Cursebreaker Founders Pack for $70 (≈5.5k RUB).
The creators said these tiers are intended as an extra way to support their work and will include cosmetic items like hats and cloaks.
Simon Collins-Laflamme, founder of Hypixel Studios, said he pushed for the lowest possible price:
I’m pricing Hytale as low as I can. I’m taking on substantial personal risk after buying the game and preparing it for early access with a growing team of 50 talented professionals. I said I’d invest everything I could, and I’m keeping that promise.
He cautioned that the current build may still contain issues:
The game is unfinished and currently runs on a build that is over four years old. Charging more would have felt wrong. I don’t believe the game is “good” yet. My team and I will work hard to make it genuinely good, and eventually — excellent. The vision is clear and progress is moving quickly. I want as many players as possible to join the project. Given the difficult economic circumstances many are facing, I want everyone to have a fair chance to be part of what comes next.
