In the wake of the Activision Blizzard acquisition, the gaming community has been left wondering: when will World of Warcraft finally debut on Xbox Game Pass? While Microsoft has previously offered only non-committal responses, fresh reports suggest that significant developments are underway behind the scenes.
Renowned journalist and industry insider Jez Corden recently shared on the *Xbox Two* podcast that Microsoft is exploring the feasibility of integrating MMO subscriptions directly into the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier. This initiative would specifically target titles that currently demand a standalone monthly fee to play.
Beyond the potential inclusion of World of Warcraft, the discussions reportedly cover a suite of premium perks, including Fallout 1st for *Fallout 76*, ESO Plus for *The Elder Scrolls Online*, and access to Minecraft Realms servers.
Such a strategic pivot is viewed as an effort to bolster the “perceived value” of the service’s most expensive subscription level. For the PC audience, the opportunity to trade a separate WoW subscription for a comprehensive, unified gaming ecosystem would represent a highly compelling value proposition.
These rumors coincide with whispers regarding a next-generation Microsoft platform codenamed “Magnus,” which is tentatively slated for a 2027 release. However, official confirmation from the tech giant remains pending.
