Asha Sharma Promises Gears of War: E-Day Story Trailer at Gamescom

A new story trailer for Gears of War: E-Day will make its world premiere during gamescom, confirmed Xbox head Asha Sharma.

Alongside the announcement, Sharma published a three-second teaser showing a creature preparing to trample several victims.

Gears of War: E-Day serves as a prequel to the original series and centers on Emergence Day, the event that triggered humanity’s full-scale war against the Locust. The game will also explore the origins of the friendship between Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago.

Interest in the project grew notably following a recent open beta test held across two weekends. According to SteamDB data, peak concurrent players for the beta surpassed 22,000 on Steam on August 14.
