Shrek 2 Remastered Listed in Microsoft Store With Details on Improvements and Co-Op
A Microsoft Store page for Aspyr’s Shrek 2 Remastered went live ahead of schedule, revealing improved graphics, 4K support, and four-player co-op.
The listing for Shrek 2 Remastered, developed by Aspyr, appeared early in the Microsoft Store. There has been no official announcement yet. Shrek also made a brief appearance in the trailer for the ID@Xbox Showcase, which takes place on October 20, 2026, so the remastered game may be presented there.
Shrek 2 Remastered will include improved textures, an updated interface, 4K resolution, and reworked cutscenes. The listed new features also include a photo mode and the ability to unlock cheat codes.
The main improvement is expanded co-op. Up to four players can play through the game on the same couch, online, or with a combination of both.

Interest in the franchise is also getting a boost from a new Shrek film, which is expected next year.
