Classic Pokémon-Style RPG with Positive Reviews Is Free on Steam
Independent developer Yanako RPGs has launched a limited-time Steam giveaway for Dokimon Quest on PC, allowing players to add the monster-taming role-playing game to their permanent libraries for free.
Styled after classic entries in the Pokémon franchise, Dokimon Quest is a turn-based RPG set in a pixelated world inspired by the Game Boy Color era.
Players capture, train, and battle with more than 140 original monsters while exploring the world to uncover the disappearance of the protagonist’s childhood friend.
On Steam, Dokimon Quest holds a “Mostly Positive” rating, with 77% positive user reviews across several hundred submissions.

The giveaway promotion runs on the Dokimon Quest Steam store page until August 26 at 1:00 PM EDT (20:00 MSK). Claiming the game requires clicking the “Add to Account” button, and users do not need to download the title immediately to retain it in their Steam library.
Yanako RPGs is currently developing a sequel, Dokimon Quest: II. The upcoming title is available to wishlist on Steam, though the studio has not yet announced a release date or launch window.
