Medieval MMORPG Gloria Victis to be revived three years after its closure
The new IP holders are preparing to breathe fresh life into the ambitious MMORPG.
After a decade-long development journey, Gloria Victis finally reached its full release in 2023. However, the celebration was short-lived, as the original developers announced the permanent shutdown of servers just a few months later.
The project has recently returned to the spotlight following the news that gamigo has officially acquired the rights to the Gloria Victis franchise.
The new management emphasized that the game boasts unparalleled territory control systems and siege mechanics that remain unique within the genre:
Moving forward, Gloria Victis will adopt a free-to-play model. The developers have pledged to avoid “pay-to-win” elements to maintain competitive integrity. While the revival is confirmed, a specific launch date for the updated MMORPG has not yet been disclosed.
