Media: Social Simulator from LittleBigPlanet Developers Scheduled for 2027 Release
Media Molecule drew inspiration from Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon.
Developer Media Molecule, known for LittleBigPlanet and Dreams, is continuing work on its new unannounced game. According to MP1st sources, the studio plans to reveal and release the project in 2027.
According to the received data, Media Molecule’s next game will be a social simulator featuring elements inspired by series such as Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. At the same time, the project is reportedly not designed as a full-fledged live-service game, although it may include individual elements of such mechanics.

It remains unknown how much the new game will differ from the studio’s previous projects. Media Molecule previously focused heavily on player-driven creativity, as Dreams allowed users to create their own games, scenes, music, and other types of content. However, Sony ultimately decided to end active support for the project roughly three years after its release.
Dreams remains the studio’s last full game, having launched in 2020.
