Marvel Maximum Collection Debuts This Month

Nostalgia-seeking fans won’t have to wait much longer to revisit the golden age of superhero gaming. The Marvel Maximum Collection, an anthology featuring six legendary titles from the arcade and early console eras, is officially scheduled to launch on March 27.
Curated by the preservation experts at Limited Run Games, this retro bundle revives several classic side-scrolling experiences originally developed by Konami. Set for release in both digital and physical editions, the collection spans the history of the NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and original coin-op arcade machines. Many of these titles are receiving their first-ever modern ports, having remained inaccessible on contemporary hardware for decades.
The Full Lineup Includes:
- X-Men: The Arcade Game (Arcade)
- Captain America and The Avengers (Arcade, Sega Genesis, NES)
- Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis)
- Spider-Man/Venom: Separation Anxiety (Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis)
- Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge (Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear)
- Silver Surfer (NES)
The Marvel Maximum Collection will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
