Video Memory Leaks Fixed in Bloodborne on PC, Improving Performance
Tech enthusiasts have fixed some of the technical problems with Bloodborne on PC. The shadPS4 emulator developers resolved video memory leaks, which had a positive effect on the game’s performance.
Sony and FromSoftware have never announced a PC version of Bloodborne, so tech enthusiasts took matters into their own hands. Thanks to the shadPS4 emulator, many players have been able to try the game from the creators of Dark Souls and Elden Ring on PC, with support for mods and multiplayer.
The shadPS4 team continues to improve the software. A player who goes by ProteinGaming97 recently drew attention to the latest technical improvements.
In a comparison video posted by ProteinGaming97, the frame rate gap in one scene reaches almost 20 FPS. Bloodborne was tested on shadPS4 versions 0.19.0 and 0.20.1:
A huge update has arrived for Bloodborne on PC! VRAM leaks that caused sharp performance drops and crashes have been fixed. The game is even closer to perfection.

Players find it “funny” that companies that refused for years to release PC versions “will be punished by AI reverse-engineering their games and making them more performant and free on PC.”
