Marvel Cosmic Invasion beat ’em-up expands before release — two new characters revealed

The forthcoming Marvel Cosmic Invasion is set to be a genuine celebration for superhero aficionados. The Dotemu and Tribute Games collaboration pairs a cosmic storyline about saving the galaxy from Annihilus’s forces with a fast-paced, kinetic combat system.

Players will face battles that span everything from the streets of New York to the shadowy reaches of the Negative Zone, featuring vivid visual effects, devastating strikes, and coordinated team assaults.

Two new characters — Phoenix and Iron Man — have joined the roster. They augment a lineup that already includes Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Venom, Storm, She-Hulk, Silver Surfer, Nova, Black Panther, and the Cosmic Ghost Rider. The game will feature 15 unique fighters, each with distinct moves and combat styles.

The developers also unveiled the Cosmic Swap system, which enables instantaneous swapping between two chosen heroes mid-fight to produce spectacular combos and super attacks.
