Lewd Gacha Game BrownDust 2 Will Never Launch on Steam? Developers Refuse Valve’s Censorship Request and Cancel Release
Players will need to look for the project on other platforms.
The BrownDust2 store page was recently removed from Steam. The release had originally been scheduled for mid-December.
The developers have now announced they are canceling the Steam launch of BrownDust2. They declined to alter the game’s content to meet Valve’s demands:
We had been preparing for a launch on Steam, but during the policy review we encountered an issue that cannot be properly resolved in the current version of the game. After careful internal deliberation, we decided not to release the game on Steam.
The developers say they will now pursue release opportunities on other PC platforms that can offer more favorable conditions for BrownDust2:
We considered several ways to make a Steam release possible, but to preserve the game’s creative direction and overall quality, we concluded that making the required changes right now would be impractical.
BrownDust2 showcases a varied roster of characters, and some of the character designs are quite revealing.
