Left 4 Dead RTX Announced as NVIDIA Shows Enhanced Version of Left 4 Dead 2
An alternative, technology-focused version of Valve’s shooter is now in development. NVIDIA recently announced Left 4 Dead RTX, an unofficial project from the NoMercyStudios team, with NightSightProduction as the publisher.
Despite the name, the project does not involve the first game in the zombie shooter franchise. The modders are updating Left 4 Dead 2. They plan to add ray tracing support along with modern NVIDIA technologies, including RTX Neural Radiance Cache (NRC), DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and Multi Frame Generation. According to the announcement, this will “completely transform the lighting and visuals of the game.”
The developers have published a trailer for Left 4 Dead RTX:
The project will be free, but players need a licensed copy of the original game to run it.
Left 4 Dead RTX has no release date or release window yet. NoMercyStudios is currently looking for specialists to join the team and help with development.

NVIDIA also said that Cyberpunk 2077 will add support for DLSS 4.5 and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation on October 22.
