Diablo: Unbound, a Tabletop Dungeon Adventure With Random Loot, Announced
The tabletop game Diablo: Unbound, designed for 1 to 4 players, will let adventurers return to Sanctuary, clear dungeons, fight bosses, play different classes and, of course, collect powerful loot.
Over the next few years, the Diablo universe will grow beyond the fifth main game and the animated series from Netflix. Tabletop fans have news of their own, because Diablo: Unbound has been announced as an officially licensed journey through Sanctuary.

The game is positioned as a cooperative (or solo) action game with high replayability. It combines several genres and game mechanics into what its developers at the publisher Glass Cannon Unplugged call a “dungeon battler.”
A crowdfunding campaign will launch on Gamefound in the first quarter of 2027. As is typical for projects like this, backers will get a series of stretch goals, exclusive rewards and additional unlockable content.
The game has three acts, and each act includes three dungeon levels. In each act, players explore dungeons, clear levels of enemies and work toward a finale with a powerful boss. Along the way, characters collect gear and experience points.

Loot is a key part of the gameplay. Players can get it by opening chests, defeating elite enemies, completing side quests and chaining kills. Bosses drop the best gear, but players never know in advance what they will find on a run, because drops are random.
Players can choose classes such as the Barbarian, Rogue, Paladin and Sorceress. They will fight the Khazra, demons and the undead. Each dungeon session is designed to take 60 to 90 minutes, and a full act takes up to 4.5 hours.

After finishing the third act, players unlock the Torment endgame mode, which lets a group fight any boss of their choice in its ultimate form. Between encounters, players move to the Town Phase, where they can upgrade skills, divide loot and change their builds.

Visitors to the SPIEL Essen board game fair in Germany, which runs from October 22 to 25, will be the first to try Diablo: Unbound.
