League of Legends Classic to receive major update with nerfs, map changes, and first player vote
Riot Games is preparing Update 26.17, the second major patch for League of Legends Classic, which will introduce balance adjustments, map modifications, and the debut of The Council voting system.
Unlike the previous update, Patch 2 will not include new champions. David “Phreak” Turley confirmed that the next batch of characters will arrive with Patch 3. Riot plans to continue releasing champions in thematic groups, following the earlier arrival of the ninja trio Shen, Akali, and Kennen.
Following player feedback, developers decided to allocate more resources to the development of Classic. Upcoming updates will gradually expand the game while preserving its original atmosphere.
The update’s headline addition is The Council, a voting system designed to let the community influence future changes. Votes cast by the most active and experienced players will carry greater weight.
The first vote will consist of roughly eight questions. Among other topics, Riot will ask whether accessories improve the gameplay experience and gather feedback on match pacing. Patch 2 is scheduled for release next week.
