Creators of Sekiro: Undefeated Anime Show Wolf vs. Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa Battle
The KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel has shared a new clip from Sekiro: No Defeat, an upcoming anime adaptation of FromSoftware’s action game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The footage showcases the beginning of Wolf’s battle against Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa at the main gate of Ashina Castle.
The preview follows the release of nine individual character trailers. Several Japanese voice actors from the original game reprise their roles for the adaptation, including Daisuke Namikawa as Wolf, Miyuki Sato as Kuro, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Genichiro Ashina.
Animation studio Qzil.la is producing Sekiro: No Defeat. Kenichi Kutsuna is directing the project from a script written by Takuya Sato, with Takashi Mukouda handling the combat choreography. The anime features the late Ryuichi Sakamoto’s track “Blu” as its main theme song. The production team also confirmed that no generative AI is being used in the making of the project.
Sekiro: No Defeat is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on September 4, 2026. The anime will later stream globally on Crunchyroll, though its digital release date has not yet been announced.
