Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Developers Showcase Xenomorphs
The developers of Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 have detailed the enemy lineup featured in the upcoming shooter, showcasing returning Xenomorph variants alongside new threats.
Drones and Facehuggers will return, while players must also deal with fresh hazards such as the Guardian and the Siren.
Following reveals of all playable classes and cooperative gameplay, the development team highlighted the adversaries that Colonial Marines will encounter. Xenomorphs serve as the primary threat once again.
Classic Drones attack in packs and retreat swiftly using ventilation shafts. Facehuggers lurk on floors and around egg clusters. Flamethrowers prove effective against them, and if a Facehugger manages to latch onto a player, a teammate can remove it with a well-placed shot.
The Guardian is one of the new threats. This creature poses a serious danger in close-quarters combat, moves rapidly, and can spit acid from a distance. The Siren requires immediate elimination, as its shriek calls in enemy reinforcements.
Fire works well against Xenomorphs, though surviving difficult encounters will require balancing conventional firearms with explosives. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches August 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
