Konami Reports Success of Silent Hill f.: Critics Rave, Players Debate
Konami has once again found itself in the spotlight thanks to Silent Hill f, which has received strong critical praise. OpenCritic lists the game’s average score at 8.6 out of 10 — one of the standout ratings of 2025.
Several outlets, including The Sixth Axis and Game Rant, awarded the title a perfect 10. The publisher celebrated the achievement with a new video that compiles the most enthusiastic excerpts from reviews.
On Steam, Silent Hill f currently holds an average user score of 79%. Players most often cite underwhelming combat and repetitive enemies as drawbacks. Some fans also feel the game doesn’t deliver the level of horror expected from the series.
In the new video, Konami revealed that global sales of Silent Hill f have surpassed one million copies, counting both digital downloads and boxed editions. It’s another sign that the Silent Hill franchise has decisively returned to public attention following the remake of the second installment.
