God of War Laufey Delayed Until May

Santa Monica Studio has delayed God of War Laufey until May 20, 2027. The PlayStation 5 exclusive was originally scheduled to launch on February 16, making the delay approximately three months.
In a statement, the studio thanked fans for their enthusiasm following the game’s June reveal. The team said it would use the additional development time to add finishing touches and bring the game closer to its full potential. Santa Monica Studio also expressed appreciation for players’ patience and promised to share more updates soon.
God of War Laufey follows Faye, Kratos’ late wife from his Norse adventures, as she enters a mysterious realm called the Everywhen after her death. There, she faces creatures drawn from different mythologies, accompanied by a talking gelatinous cube and a talking sword sash.
