Insider Names Possible Winner as James Bond Casting Race Nears Its End
Callum Turner has been cast as the next agent 007, according to Showbiz411 journalist Roger Friedman. Amazon MGM Studios has not confirmed the casting, so the claim should be treated with caution.
Turner, known for the Fantastic Beasts films and the series Masters of the Air, was previously named by Hollywood outlets as one of the finalists. Four candidates reportedly reached the final stage of casting.

Turner is the second actor reported to have landed the Bond role in recent weeks. In mid-October, insider Jeff Sneider claimed that Jacob Elordi would be the next 007 and that an official announcement would come “very soon.”
Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter subsequently disputed that rumor, reporting that final auditions would begin on October 23. Turner, Josh O’Connor and Jack Lowden were among the four finalists, according to the reports. The next Bond was promised to be revealed by the end of 2026.
Denis Villeneuve, director of Dune and Blade Runner 2049, will direct the new Bond film. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is writing the screenplay, and Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce. Filming and release dates have not been announced.
