Konami endured a difficult period after shifting focus from console development to mobile, and today Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid serve as central pillars of the company’s business.
Konami has confirmed that a remake of the original Silent Hill and the new title Silent Hill: Townfall are part of its roadmap. The franchise has become one of the company’s primary focuses, so as long as interest remains strong, more projects will be produced.
An informant known as Genki shared this on X:
Konami says the company plans to continue expanding the series beyond the Silent Hill 1 Remake and Silent Hill: Townfall.
“We are working on a remake of the original Silent Hill as well as a new entry, Silent Hill: Townfall, and we intend to keep developing the franchise going forward. Konami will continue to produce Silent Hill games that resonate with fans around the world.”
