While the footage stopped short of providing a concrete release date, the content itself is a visual treat. The new trailer offers an extended look at high-octane combat set against the backdrop of modern-day Tokyo. Watching a more mature, realistic-looking Sora navigate the Shibuya district while fending off Heartless is an impressive spectacle that highlights the series’ evolution.

Kingdom Hearts IV is currently in active development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Although the Nintendo Direct broadcast focused on their platform, the official trailer published by Square Enix confirms that a simultaneous multi-platform launch is the plan.
